Whenever I read the Bible and come across a verse that strikes me, I copy it in an old stenographer’s notebook. I haven’t done a lot of Bible reading lately, but I did come across my notebook, and I thought of sharing its contents. At the top is a link to the “Verses” page, which is where I wrote these Bible passages.
Some may sound familiar, while others may be surprising. Some are even scary! And many are very, very beautiful. Language, as it were, in the service of its Inventor.
Most of the passages are from the New American Bible or the New Living Translation. A few are from the King James Version or from the New International Version. Enjoy!
